Could be used as underglaze resist, and creating subtle relief texture, allowing you to create clean, repeatable patterns onto clay slabs.
The sturdy PET material ensures the stencil can be washed and reused many times without warping or tearing.
 
 How to use it 
 
Underglaze resist
Preparation & Application
Prep Slab: Roll out your clay slab. Wait until the surface is no longer tacky to the touch.
Position Stencil: Place the stencil over the slab. Use a rolling pin or pony rollerto embed the stencil edges into the clay until the surface of the clay and stencil is level. This prevents underglaze bleed.
 
Underglaze Application
Layer 1: Apply the first layer of underglaze with a brush. Allow it to dry fully.
Drying (Optional Speed Up): If using a heat gun or hairdryer, keep the heat source at least 8" away and move it constantly. Do not focus heat in one spot to prevent PET plastic deformation.
Layers 2 & 3: Apply subsequent layers using a dabbing motion with your brush to avoid lifting the previous layers or disturbing the stencil edges. Repeat the drying process as needed.
Pro Tip: For a flawless finish, use an airbrush or spray gun for color application.
 
Stencil Removal
Wait: Allow the final layer of underglaze to set.
Lift: Carefully lift the stencil. Try peeling it back from different directions to loosen it from the slab.
Complex Designs: For intricate designs with thin connecting parts, use a needle tool to gently lift any parts of the stencil that resist removal.
 
Cleaning & Care
 Maunal sponging: To avoid breaking thin connective parts, wash the stencil on a flat support surface (like a large sponge). Use a second sponge to wipe the stencil with short, gentle strokes.
 Allow stencil to soak for easier removal, and rinse with water
Place the stencil in a vat and spray it clean.
